These 2 weeks flew by! I'm feeling great, energy wise. I'm staying up later and feel good in the mornings. I'm not really throwing up - I say 'really' because it still happens at random times. But 90% of the time, I'm not sick. Woohoo! If it weren't for the barely tolerable pain in my right hip, I'd be as well as a non-preggo gal. But this pain is in-sane. Sometimes I can barely make it up a flight of stairs - and after sitting or lying down for longer than 15 minutes, it takes me several minutes just to get up because the pain just about paralyzes me. I go back to the Dr on Monday (we are 1 week ahead on our Dr schedule due to my work...it's supposed to be my 24 week appointment but I'll really be going during my 23rd week) so I'm going to address this hip issue with him again. He said if it continued to worsen, we would consider seeing an ortho. surgeon about hip injections - YIKES! I'm hoping it doesn't go that far at all---meanwhile I'm looking for other answers. Any advice?Weston is beginning to really understand the "baby" concept. We painted the girl's room baby pink and he knows it's a baby room. He also looks at babies and will say "baby", and point to them and also gently pat them when he sees them in books.
Week 21 weekend, Kerri came into town! We went to the movies and saw "This Means War" (hil-ar-ious, by the way) and shopped all day on Saturday. It was a wonderful weekend! Week 22 weekend, Laurie Kaye came into town. Since she is also pregnant, and expecting a girl (just 7 days before me!), and we had a great time! We did "baby" things and really enjoyed spending our time together. Thank you to my fabulous friends!! You're making this pregnancy such a fun one!
I'll give another update after our "24 week" appointment on Monday, ha.
We are headed back to GA this weekend! Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of Spring :)
Katie,
ReplyDeleteI had that terrible hip pain during my second pregnancy too. I guess it runs in families! HA! Anyway, I never had to have injections but I sure did move slowly and carefully! Sadly, I still have problems with it even today, especially when I lay on my left side (pain is in my right hip). But my two babies are certainly worth the pain and I know you feel the same way! Love to you and your family, Christi
